It works very well aerating wine. A bit hard to push in the bottle, I wet the seal a bit and that makes it easier. Cleaning is no problem, it’s the reassembly that has to be done exactly as in the instructions. If the small hole between the two parts to be assembled ands up on the bottom, the aerator leaks, the hole must be on top.

I really enjoy wine and probably spend way to much every month but it is a guilty pleasure of mine. I usually decant my good bottles for at least an hour. I have read about these aerators so I ordered one. It does help open up the aroma as well as taste. So now it use this as I put the bottle into my decanter. The results are noticeable.
