This item slices skin adequately but the pit remover didn’t grab the pot very well.The slicer isn’t very sharp so it squishes the fruit instead of neatly slicing; especially if avocado is a little over ripe.Bad purchase, I’ll continue using a knife.

The knife is too short to work at all. The slicer works only on small avocados. For larger avocados, it leaves flesh along the sides.I still gave it 5 stars because I could see those things in the photo online. After having almost sliced my palm open when whacking the seed/pit with a knife and it split, I ordered it for the seed/pit remover. It works great for that.

A couple of times a year my husband makes 7-layer dip for a family get-together. He asked me to find him an avocado slicer to make it easier for the avocado layer. I purchased the OXO Good Grips 3 in 1 Avocado Slicer for him.He loved it so much he insisted we this slicer for all of his brothers and his parents for Christmas.We were just on vacation at the lake and he went to cut up some avocados. He was opening drawers on the boat, looking for the OXO Good Grips 3 in 1 Avocado Slicer and couldn't find it. "Don't we have one on the boat?" he asked.We don't. It looks like I'm going to have to order another one just for the boat. It makes cutting up avocados so easy you want one wherever you go. It's just that good!
