Two major issues with this wok: the lid doesn't fit - large caps between the lid and the wok body; once the base is detached, it's nearly impossible to re-attach. For the latter, I tried for a solid 15 minutes and gave up in frustration. Came back to it an hour later with the same results. Clear design flaw.My recommendation is to find another wok. This one is being returned today.

This is a very nice Electric Wok. However, the dial that regulates the cooking temperature has no temperatures written on it. So it's very difficult to know exactly what the temperature is that needs to be set. This is the bad part of it. I am going Blind and I wish it would have had the numbers on it instead of just lines that have to be counted.Keep this in mind if you are thinking of buying this item.

This is a very nice Electric Wok. However, the dial that regulates the cooking temperature has no temperatures written on it. Wok is too small however the biggest issue is that it's way under powered in wattage to stir fry food in the classic japanesse method. It DOES NOT recover quickly when the food is added. Don't event think about using it to cook shrimp tempura even with a minimal amount of oil. The unit is sturdy and well made just under powered. Sending my back today.

There are 2 versions offered and several reviewers complained or at least commented after buying the basic model of wishing for the upgrades provided by the slightly more expensive one. The upgrades include a clear lid with an adjustable steam vent, a rack that hangs on the side and one for another type of cooking that sits on the bottom, and a removable cord. Be aware that there are contrary statements about being able to put this in a dish washer; there is a note advising against that, and the electrical heating coil does not separate from the pot (just the cord disconnects from the pot) so really wouldn't advise cleaning in the dish washer. We have used it a few times and it works great, but still have to hand wash. Would certainly recommend this and it shipped quickly.

The wok is heavier than I thought, I cannot maneuver with one hand to spoon out the leftover food, wash, etc. Purchased a larger size for bigger food portions but didn't anticipate the awkward size and weight.I removed the removable base for easier washing and haven't been able to get it back together yet.I have used many other woks. I would not buy this product again. Unfortunately, I bought at a busy time so didn't get a chance to try it before realizing I would want to return it.

We are novice stir fryers and this was our first purchase. It works wonderful and we've really enjoyed the meals that we've made to the point that we would rather have this than take-out. This was a gift for my brother and his wife. They were very excited to use it. They both said it worked great the first time they used it and that they love it. My only gripe was shipping. I wish it had come in a shipping box instead of just the wok box. As a result, the.box was damaged in shipping and the shipping label was stuck to it. Not real great when giving as a gift.
